Neville Southall Puts Michael Owen In His Place

Michael Owen was once our great hope, our saviour, the wonder boy and our secret weapon against the rest of the world, now, sadly, he is a washed up professional footballer with horrendous punditry skills who possesses about as much charisma as Akinfenwa’ jock strap.

Owen finished his career at Stoke, which is where this video took place, Owen is seen taking one on one opportunities against a young goalkeeper, 13 to be exact, who is being assisted by a patient and wise Neville Southall.

Owen scores many of the chances past the young lad and proceeds to lord it over him each time, pointing to his name on the back of his shirt and celebrating in front of an imaginary crowd, this is Owen at his most embarrassing. Then at the end of the video Southall has had enough and takes a pop at the narcissistic Owen.

We’re so glad that somebody put him in his place, it’s just a shame that nobody will do that to him on BT Sport when he makes our ears bleed with his monotonous commentary.
