Southampton FC Go All Out To Prove They Are The Greatest Wingmen in the Premiership
Saints fan @_timcorn found himself so smitten with a fellow Southampton fan that he turned to the club via Twitter with an interesting request.
Don’t favourite my tweet and not tell me @SouthamptonFC #saintsfc pic.twitter.com/N6q1kVIsk5

As much as Southampton wanted to help; data protection laws seemed to spoil the festive party. But that wasn’t to deter Southampton’s media team from thinking outside the box.
@_timcorn Foiled by those data protection laws. We can only hope she comes forward. That would be a beautiful story. #saintsfc — Southampton FC (@SouthamptonFC) December 21, 2014
Not long before pretty much telling Tim to man up and bring the object of his desire a nice cup of Bovril…
@_timcorn You can’t simply force someone into a zorb race. Man up and ask if she fancies a drink – no lady can resist a hot Bovril.

Just got relationship advice from Southampton football club yup — Timothy (@_timcorn) December 21, 2014
Days later, Southampton football club decided to give Timothy the chance to seal his own fate by placing flowers and a Bovril voucher on his seat for yesterday’s victory against Arsenal. Along with some genius online video marketing…
Even Southampton legend, Matt Le Tissier got involved…
Success for Tim!
Thank you to @SouthamptonFC she didn’t like the bovril but loved the flowers❗️#WingMan #Saintsfc pic.twitter.com/2KNY0ECcSS

Southampton’s reply was classy and humble. Hats off to the Saints for a first class wingman service!
We’re proud of you, @_timcorn. Our work here is done. #WellDoneTim
